Fo'Yur'Ath Destroyer

The largest common attack ship and the smallest ship in the Sa'Vasku fleet with the ability to fire torpedo type weapons. The ships are now large enough to start picking out small details in the hull. The Sa'Vasku take drybrushing well.

Fo'Sath'Aan Frigate

Not that much larger than the Fo'Kiir'Tha corvettes, the Fo'Sath'Aan is a slightly larger, more heavy armored ship. Used primarily in the escort role. Painted in a similar fashion to the other ships.

Fo'Kiir'Tha Corvette

Next for the Sa'Vasku are the Fo'Kiir'Tha younger attack ship. According to Fleet Book 2, they function like corvettes in the Sa'Vasku fleet. A very dangerous opponent for similar sized ships in the Tuffyverse.

The Sa'Kean'Tha

Here is a squadron of Sa'Vasku Sa'Kean'Tha scouts. According to the fleet book, it has similar to the Sa'An'Tha scouts, except it is smaller, but more heavily armored. These ships were painted in the identical fashion to the Sa'An'Tha (multiple dry brushes with lighter shades of brown and blend from the body to the spikes).

Shifting to Full Thrust

I started collecting minis about a decade ago. One of the first minis I got was the Full Thrust Sa'Vasku from Ground Zero Games. There's something about the concept of bioships with a Cuthuluesque aesthetic that I find interesting. They are also quite powerful ships in the Full Thrust universe. Here is a squadron of Sa'An'Tha scouts. I have not seen any photos of painted Sa'Vasku anywhere so I decided to show what I have in my collection. The main body was base coated with dark brown. The hull received successive dry brushes with lighter shades of brown. The spikes were then painted with ivory white and then blended into the body with medium brown. A rather creepy, but unique appearing fleet.

The Draconia

After a long hiatus, I finally found time to paint and photograph some ships and fleets that have been resting on my table for the past few months. Up first is the Draconia from Buck Rodgers in the 25th century. The model is from Mini Model Madness and can occasionally be seen on ebay. It's a large one, about 7 inches long. for the color scheme, I started with a base coat of barn red, followed by dry brushes of victorian red, bright red and finally orange. Engine glow was painted white. Here is a rear view:

This was a very detailed model and relatively complex to assemble. However, I had fun with assembling and painting this model. All I need now is a bunch of hatchet fighters and to figure out how to make a Earth Directorate fleet to oppose this monster.

Lack of Posts

I apologize for the long delay in posting. Between family, work, rearranging the furniture at home (at the request of the boss), taking my certification exams, and the holidays, I had no time to update this blog. I still have more fleets to share and some new ships in the pipeline. Posting will not be at the furious pace it was when I first started, but I plan to be more consistent with new content in the future. Thank you for exploring my little corner of the Web.
