NSL Ehrenhold Frigate

One of the newer ships in the NSL fleet. A sturdy little ship used in convoy escort duties. Armed primarily with batteries, it can cause significant damage to ships larger than its size class. Painting started with a dark green undercoat and successively applied lighter green drybrushes to highlight the detail. Finished with painting additional details on the ship.

NSL Falke Scoutship

Here is a squadron of Falke scoutship. Compared to other scouts, it is more heavily armoured at the costs of armament. A strike variant exists. These ships were difficult to mount because of their size and shape. However, they were relatively easy to paint.

Slight rearrangement

I have made a slight rearrangement to the layout of this blog. Links to albums of the various ships have been moved from the side to a separate page. You can now navigate to the Galleries page from the tabs on top. Hopefully, this will make it easier for you to find additional photos of the ships.

NSL Fighters

Starting off the new year with ships from the Neu Swabian League from full thrust. Starting off will be the fighters. Above are the Adler fighters, which are responsible for interception.
Here, we have Wulf multi, role fighters and finally the Wespe assault fighters

Nemesis Fleet

Zandris IV Miniatures makes some very nice ships in the style of the PC game Homeworld. He also made these ships which have a alien, crystalline look. I have never seen any painted versions of these ships, so I decided to try my hand at painting. This is a small squadron of 7 Yamas and 1 Azrael ships. Painting started with an undercoat of light grey with white highlites. The entire ship then received several layers of pearlescent white and then metallic/pearlescent paint was added to add some color/contrast. A closeup of the Yama is below:
The pearlescent white give a crystalline look to the ships which makes them feel that they were grown rather than welded. Here is the Azrael:
The grey/white undercoating give a nice contrast to the raised areas that is not too drastic. Some very nice ships which, unfortunately, no longer available.
