The Draconia

After a long hiatus, I finally found time to paint and photograph some ships and fleets that have been resting on my table for the past few months. Up first is the Draconia from Buck Rodgers in the 25th century. The model is from Mini Model Madness and can occasionally be seen on ebay. It's a large one, about 7 inches long. for the color scheme, I started with a base coat of barn red, followed by dry brushes of victorian red, bright red and finally orange. Engine glow was painted white. Here is a rear view:
This was a very detailed model and relatively complex to assemble. However, I had fun with assembling and painting this model. All I need now is a bunch of hatchet fighters and to figure out how to make a Earth Directorate fleet to oppose this monster.

  1. cool looking mini, i recently got adira royal battle and it's 5 inches put togther. armoury games and hobbies has draconia battleship, and draconia fighters.
